The state capital of Pahang, Malaysia, is Kuantan. It is situated near the mouth of the River Kuantan. Based on its 2010 population, Kuantan is the 18th largest city in Malaysia and the largest city on the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. Kuantan is scheduled to be formally designated as a city in 2020.  This is a straightforward journey as the KL to Kuantan distance is not huge so it’s just an easy drive, flight or bus ride away.
